Hi,
Last night I was sitting watching TV when all of a sudden one of my fingers hurt. I don't remember hitting it.
My finger hurts around the first knuckle it hurts more when I bend it, then the skin on top of the area is very sensitive to the touch.
When I rub the finger it hurts, I don's see any swelling, and the closer I move to the knuckle the more it hurts.
I have searched the web on to what it could be but I couldn't find anything.
I woke up a couple times last night from the soreness of it
Thanks

It could be gout, which is deposits of crystallised salts in the small joints. It comes and goes and is very painful. Antiflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, etc) do help. Get it checked out by the doctor if you don't get better. Sera.
