I have been on birth control pills for 8 years. I am planning to get off of them soon because of that fact they are not good for the body long term and cause bad bacteria overgrwowth, synthetic hormones, etc. During these past 8 years I have had no problems and have been on the same brand the entire time. Monday I forgot my pill, so last night I doubled up, no problem, that is what you are suppose to do and I have done that several times over the years.

Right now, I am smack bad in the middle of the cycle, day 14 or 15. I woke up this morning and I am bleeding, and it is a decent amount, not too much, not too little. I also have very subtle backaches associated with menstrating.

Here is the weird thing, I remember last night I dreamed about this! I would wake up and this would happen. Any suggestions? Could it be that the hormones are not agreeing with my body causing some sort of break through bleeding? I am 100% not pregnant. Just a little puzzled here because nothing like this has ever happened.

UPDATE: I developed a lump on my throat the same day I started this breakthrough bleeding and after a week I went to a doctor and found out that I have hpyothyroidism (under-active) so this is why I was bleeding.
