I've been taking night time cold medicine for approximately the past 3 years. I had a bad cold then, and I got addicted. Now, I'm finding boils on my body. I've read that this could cause kidney and/or liver damage. Any input would be helpful.

In my teens we used to take cold meds for fun and nothing good ever came of it.I hope you have the strength to overcome this as it can lead to many health problems...the boils are normally a sign that your blood is not gettting cleaned by either your liver or your kidneys, with that said you should go to a doctor to get checked out but boils as youve probably found out need to just run there own course.ive had many also. goto a doctor and get checked out good and good luck!

How much acetaminophen are you taking a day?? Too much of it can cause serious liver damage.
