Does a man have to have HPV in order to pass it on? In other words is it possible to get HPV by having sex with a man who does not have it?

The problem with that is there is no way to know if a man has it or not. Only certain strains manifest as symptoms in males. Symptoms also do not even need to be present to pass HPV.
And there is no test to check for hpv for males.
