I am having a lot of pain on my right side back under my ribs. There is a dull pain most of the time but when I breath in I get a very sharp pain. Anyone have any ideas as I don't want to go to the doctor if this may pass. This started yesterday and continues today. Thanks, KimMarie68

Hello there.. About two years ago i was dating someone i knew my whole life. He got in to a fight and had pains below his ribs towards the back. We ignored it for a while. But, the pain didnt go away, so we saw a doctor. We went and got exrays and took a urin test. They found blood in his urine. We ended up finding out he had a kidney disease and would eventually die from it.. Since then, 2 years ago he has got a transplant and is doing much better. The doctors said if we would have ignored it and the pain went away, we may never have known. He would have eventually died in his sleep in the next few months. Im not trying to scare you, but, i just want you to know, please don't wait. Just go get it looked at. believe me you'll feel better just knowing you did.. good luck... best wishes.

I went through the exact same thing. I thought it was a back ache but the pain got worse. It turned out to be an infection. I would go see your doctor. They can find out what it really is and treat you.
