Hey all,

Just needing to make a confession. I screwed up this evening. I had a very trying day with the not smoking thing. I did everything that I knew of to not smoke. I even took a nerve pill hoping it would just knock me out and the feeling would pass. I had to keep my niece and nephew this evening and knew it would only get worse. So, I caved in a smoked. It was the first time in 10 days that I have had a cigarette. I let alot of it burn down because after the initial euphoria of that first puff, I really didn't want it anymore. It was more of hand mouth thing or maybe a bordom thing than addiction.
I feel like a total tool for smoking. I feel so guilty. I haven't smoked since. I have done nothing but eat for two days and I feel like total crap!! Should I just give it up since I have already screwed up or can I just call it a slip and go on?

Hi Tanya,
one small insignificant slip up, keep at it. Just think when you did this you had 9 days under your belt what an acheivment. I am only on day 3 cold turkey and would do anything to skip to day 10 :-) You had one, but think of all the ones you didnt have. I think you are great and an inspiration for me to keep going...
Hope you are doing ok now
Jodi ( a very agitated depressed Jodi)
