Hi,
I am new to this site. I have been on percoset and fentynal for a year and am finally well enough to wean off. I've gone from 50mg patches and 8 perc a day to 25mg patches and about 2 to 3 perc a day. I am having terrible nausea bloating, anxiety, and I am sooo shaky. I didn't have this long of a coming down session with the first 25 mgs. I have been feeling really bad for a week. I am going to an accupuncturist to help with the pain I still have and the nausea.I am only able to function semi normally part of the day and then I need to sleep. Anyone else have any idea about flushing this stuff out quicker and if this is normal timing? Thanks, I need the help.

Hello and welcome to the boards. I'm sorry you are going through this. This is the downside of pain meds, that's for sure.
I would suggest you post a message on the "Addiction & Recovery" board. Although you don't have an addiction per se, the people that post on that board have a lot of experience in tapering & etc....They would probably be able to provide more help than those here.
Best of luck to you with this.
Regards,
Ex

Yeah that is a pretty big jump downward. There are quite a few things to help you.
1. nausea - they make accupressure bands that you can get at most drug stores (sounds crazy but it works for a lot of people) and they recommend to women who are pregnant or taking dramamine(motion sickness med)
2. clonidine (prescription)
3. Klonopin (anti-anxiety) prescription as well to help with the shakes and anxiety
4. Benadryl - to help with sleep and withdrawal symptoms
5. Immodium - to help with diahrrea
6. A good multivitamin to help build up your immune system
those are all that I can think of at the moment. It is not going to be easy and hopefully your doc can have some more suggestions or prescribe the ones mentioned above. keep us posted ok?
