Sorry to bring up another thread, i just have some questions burning in my mind.
I had a girlfriend for two years, we broke up 5 months ago.
half way through our relationship we found out she had HPV.
We had both had ex partners but as far as we both knew we were both clean up untill this point.
She did have one ex who she said was very active and not exactly.. "safe"
Anyhow.
I have noticed that tiny white-ish dots have formed around the head of my penis and just on the top, under the head.
There is only 3 or 4 and they are very small. I am not sure if im infected or not but are these warts?
I did go see a GP after the relationship and she assured me she could see nothing. But there was little to none of the white dots at that point.
They are raised but 99% unnoticable.
So here are some of my further questions.
Are they treatable in ANY form?
Can i ffind out exactly what virus i have?
I am a very sexual person but would never put anyone at risk.
Even wearing a condom wont really stop spread the virus will it?
If i can find out exactly what HPV i have, and it is one of the ones that the new vaccine stops, is it ok to have sex (with a condom still)?
I have heard that after a year or so your body fights the infection. Is this true? Is there more details on it?
To be honest, i am not that upset. If anything this will push me to focus on my business and less on finding a partner. But it is hard to swallow that i cannot have sex or oral in anyway for a LONG long time. If, at all, ever again.
Any help is VERY appreciated.

The first thing is to be sure what you have, so a trip to a dermatologist is is order, now that the spots are more visible. You may very well have HPV and the doctor can discuss possible treatment options. You can also do a search here for other treatments, as the often prescribed treatment can be uncomfortable and maybe not all that effective.
The body can generally fight the infection, but it may take longer than a year and it doesn't mean you can't spread it even when there are no visible signs left. Depending on the type of HPV you have, the HPV vaccine may provide protection for your girlfriend.
