Hi,

I have just started birth control for the first time in about 3 years a little over 3 weeks ago. (I have 5 more pills for this month). I also have become sexually active for the first time since beginning these pills. I am on trivora 28 btw. However what concerns me is I have been bleeding every single day since beginning these pills. I am not bleeding much onto a pad or anything, but every time I go to the bathroom, the toilet paper is full of blood like I was on my period. (sorry if TMI...I'm just scared about this). Is this normal to happen and part of the side effect or should I be getting medical attention? Thanks so much!

Hmm. It might not be the pill for you if you are bleeding constantly. I'm not familiar with trivora, but when I was on a low dose pill I found I bled easily and when on the nuvaring I spotted every day for three months (except when I was on my period). It wasn't much, but it was enough to make me stop. When I tried brevicon, which is a high dose pill I believe I never had these problems.

My suggestion is to stick with it for the rest of the month and see what it's like when you start your second pack. If there's no improvement, I'd talk to your doctor about switching to another pill.

I am on the same pills and I have been having the same problem. Have you missed any or took them at different times? I have been taken then at different times so that may be way I am having the same problem.
