Hi ya'll! I just had to come back here and post that I had my two yr quit anniversary last week and it's great! :D:D GO ME! I have to say, this message board was my lifesaver and helped me get thru all the difficult stages of quitting. It was so nice to come here to have people encouraging you on, some going thru the same pains as you were, dealing with the same cravings, and how to deal with them. Memaw and Traveller and Liamsmom - ya'll were a great support team and I thank you. I am still trying to lose the weight I gained, about 10 lbs, but have been faithfully going to gym and running - I think age has alot to do with that extra weight gain too - (and the brewskies too).

Good luck to all you new quitters and keep the faith. It can be done. I don't even think about smoking anymore. It's so nice to check into a hotel and not have to worry about is there a balcony or do the windows open? And flying, you don't have to run out for that last smoke!!

Keep up the good work and good luck to you all!

You can't see it but I'm doing a dance of joy all on your behalf!!!! Crongrats to you and thanks for the mention it's nice to know that I've helped someone makes it all worthwhile. I'll be hitting the three year mark myself in June. Isn't it funny now how fast the time has gone by yet when we we're in the midst of quitting it seemed eternally horrid.

Inner strength baby now that's what I'm talking about!!!

Yes it is wonderful and thank you all for your support. It is funny how 2 yrs flew by, I think of all those cigs I would have smoked, and don't miss it one bit. I hang out with a bunch of smokers, and it doesn't even bother me anymore! I wish they would all quit too - I would hate to lose them to a smoking related illness! Some of them tried to quit with me 2 yrs ago, one of them was actually my inspiration, she quit first, but then she had an injury and was laid up on the couch for the summer, so she started again. She wants to quit again, now that cigs are going up $8 a carton!! I will encourage her and be her support, when she's ready.....

Thanks again everyone, and keep up the good work all you new quitters! There is hope out there - you can do it!!
