I was wondering if anyone has tried this. I recently learned that some women have had relief with it, although it is an off label usage (not developed specifically for hot flashes). Has anyone tried it? I haven't but am thinking about it.

I have tried it. It did help my hot flashes alot, but even at a low dose, I had balance issues and had to stop taking it. BUT i've known of several women who's hot flashes decreased and didn't have any side effects. It can make you groggy the 1st day or 2, but then that improves.
Also 2 more things if you take it:
-It has a short "half life". so you need to take it on time and don't miss a dose or you can have withdrawel symptoms.
-If you go off of it, wean slowly, as again, you can have withdrawel symptoms.

That's great information. I never thought about withdrawal, good to know, also good to know it has helped some women. Thanks. I think I'll ask to try it.
