My gum over the tooth is white where the filling material was touching it. What does that mean? The temporary fill stuff fell off so I had to replace it until tomorrow morning and can see the white on my gum. Is this dangerous?

Push on your finger, it turns white as well. This is because the blood is being pushed out of the area. Your temporary filling was doing the same thing to the gums. Short term there is no problem, your gums will bounce back very quickly.

Thank you. The dentist cleaned the gum area with some type of antiseptic and said to use mouth wash rinse for a few days. He also said the gum will peel. That temporary filling stuff was too irritating to it.
