when i was 6/7 i contracted hpv and was very ill in hospital as it attacked my body giving me symtom's the doctor had never seen.i later went on to get cin3 and had a cone biop. my cervix fused together from the scaring and now i'm having trouble with periods/intercorse and infections,my gp has suggested a hysterectomy,as my period is not coming out properley. is this the best and only option. and how at such a young age could i have got that virus?

I would think it is wise to see a gyn/oncologist if you have had CIN III.

Well this only a possibility. But I have read that HPV can be transmitted through birth. So it is possible that maybe your mother has it and she doesn't even know it yet, and passed it to you when she gave birth.(if she had a natural birth). I only just got diagnosed recently and it's driving me crazy not knowing how I got it since I have been so careful. I havn't even had sex yet! My advice, which I am still trying to work through, is how you got it does not matter anymore, focus on the now and what is to come and prepare and read as much information as possible. This virus is so easily passed on it's no joke!
