I am 26 and have had several missed periods - not pregnant according to hgh and ultrasound. After first four missed periods tried progesterone challenge which produced bleeding at day 8 (took it for the remaining two days)and a heavy period for about 9 days. I have not had another period since. I have noticed abnormal hair growth, intolerance to cold and increased acne, but Doc says LH and FSH are normal. I have also had a 27 pound weight gain in 6 months (I am 5'10"). MRI showed "incidental pituitary microadenoma" which was ruled out as a factor in my amenorrhea (all pituitary function tests normal). I am not sure what to ask from my Doc at this point, but I am concerned. Any suggestions?

This is probably posted on the wrong board. It is a kidney board and you should probably have posted this on the female health board.
From what you have described though, it does sound as if you could have a underactive thyroid gland. Have you had any thyroid function tests done at all? All your symptoms, such as feeling cold, gaining weight and excess hair growth could be caused by this and it is well worth getting checked out.
Especially as your FSH and LH levels are normal and the fact that adrenal/pituitary causes have been ruled out, then the thyroid function should be the next to be investigated.
If it is the thyroid, this is quite easily fixed with regular thyroxine. Sounds like underfunction rather than overfunction though.
