A few yrs ago I had a cystospocpy for lower back pain etc. no infection. Previous xray showed scarring the left kidney was damaged. After the cytoscopy I got a real nasty infection and bleeding. Reg urine test were ok but continued infection showed with cultures. My urolg. didn't seem too concerned. I am having the same pain, discomfort left side. I am on Zoloft and hydrocodone ( back surgeries herniated discs and fusion) and xanax off and on. I try to limit the meds as needed but I am drinking beer daily approx 5.and a light smoker. I don't know if the aching is from all my back trouble or the kidney getting worse? I don't want to have another cytos. done! Anyway, I got off track. What does scaring mean?
