Oh my goodness, you are the only other person I know who has the same problem I did!!!! A UPJ obstruction is short for uteropelvic junction - this is a blockage that is near your kidney. During the surgery you will be given anesthesia (I had general anesthesia). I also had non-invasive surgery - no open incisions. The Acucise Endopyelotomy is a cutting procedure where the doctor inserts a balloon catheter-type of tool and puts it in your ureter where the obstruction is. Then he/she blows up the balloon and makes cuts to open up the blockage. After the surgery, depending on if it is non-invasive or invasive, you'll stay in the recovery unit for an hour or more. I went home after an hour. You will be asked to urinate before you leave. There might be blood in your urine, but it is normal. It is probably caused by the stent. The stent will cause frequency, burning, and urgency. Try to rest a lot. I hope the procedure goes/went well!!!
