I was wondering if anybody has advice on kidney infections. i have been suffering from one for about a month now.I have terrible back pain, nausea, fatigue fever, and since I cannot urinate my feet are so swelled I can hardly walk. I keep calling my doctor to report that I am just getting worse and all he does is keep changing my antibiotic and tells me to take more tylenol. I am miserable and I am starting a new job tomorrow and cannot let them know that I am sick. I am really afraid that this is going to get so bad I will end up in the hospital and lose this job. They already made it clear that you cannot miss any work for the first 90 days, if you do you are automatically terminated. Anybody have any suggestions on how I can get over this and be able to get through the day at work?? Thanks for your help.

Hi qwerty,

Please have your doctor do ANCA blood test ecspecially if you are getty worse. I was just diagnosed with Wergener's Granulatomisis (sp). This effects your kidneys. Wergener's is very rare or very undiagnosed. Your physician might not even know a whole lot about it either, but please have him test you ASAP!!!

I had pyleonephritis post passing a kidney stone in may and ended up in the hospital for 8 days when the dr discharged me he suggested to drink cranberry juice at least 2 times a week for a year and if I do that without recurrances I shouldnt have any problems for a very long time so far its working>>>>
