I am really worried i have something wrong with my kidneys. I work every day all day and I harldy ever get the chance for a toilet break. I find myself needing the toilet but i never seem to get the chance to go. So I end up waiting till I get home which is sometimes a few hours later. Just recently I have been having a pain in my lower right side of my back and I am worried there is a problem with my kidney.

Is it dangerous not to urinate when you get the urge to go, what effect does it have on your kidneys.

If the pain keeps up or you have any burning sensation when you do go, it might be a urinary track infection. I don't know what type of job you have, but I would try and speak with someone about going when you have the urge, as holding it is not good. I'm sure it is not anything serious, or you would be in real pain, but trying to hold it too long constantly might cause problems down the road for you.
