What could make a child's urine smell sour? She's been checked for UTI and nothing shows, they do say PH is a bit off and give her cranberry juice. Any thoughts? 2 older siblings have had kidney problems, one has stones and the other has had mild reflux. I try to get her to drink lots of water thought that would help. She doesn't complain of any pain, but has had episodes once in a while of not making it to bathroom on time. I'm confused, please help.

Just keep her drinking a lot of cranberry juice and a lot of water. Try to make sure that those are the only thing's she drinks for a few weeks, and see if it clears up at all. I have one kindey, because i was born with bad reflux, and occasionally my urine will have a strong odor, but when i drink a lot of water and/or cranberry juice it goes away.
