Hi the names sam, im new here.
I have a clean slit on my upper lip that just wont heal, I dont exactly remember, but i think it may have gone away and come back.
I dont know if this has anything to with the way i sleep, because it always seems to be worst in the mornings when i wake up.
Im just a bit worried and want to find out what you guys think?

i get this too. i get it on the inside of my upper lip. i use Blistex or Chapstix to heal it. i have braces though and also grind my teeth at night, so i may be drying my lips out by moving my mouth.
do you drink enough water? you may be dehydrated. also the winter weather may exacerbate this, or even sunshine.
however if it continues to bother you despite trying to treat it, then see your doctor.
hope this helps!

I agree with eskimolala. You might be just a little dehydrated, or your skin is a little dry with the winter weather. I know it usually appears first in my lips, and a lot of times while I'm sleeping. Try using Blistex or Chapstick when you go to bed, and see if this helps. I'm guessing within a few days, this will clear up, and by spring the recurrance will stop completely.
