Back in the old days, women suffered through the symptoms of menopause. If you start taking replacement therapy, do you have to keep taking it forever? Iv been on them for years and it seems I remember my doctor saying that I would probably have to continue them. Any thoughts?

Well I know many women that have tried to go off the hrt and it is difficult to do. I took them for a couple years and have backed way off them but can't get off them totally without major symptoms coming back. If you do try to go off them I recommend doing it very slowly and you might talk with your doctor first and see if they have any suggestions.

Excellent advice Julie. I have an appointment coming up with him very soon. I think I was wishfully hoping that after all these years the symptons would go away. Ha Ha, fat chance. Thanks for the post.
