Have no idea.
a lump can be a simple cyst..just a lump.
Or a complicated cyst
Or cancer.
Only testing by a DR can tell

I can agree that you definitely need to see your Doctor and ask to have it checked out. I had a lump right under my ear lobe and it was there for a long time. Because I had other health problems at the time the doctors kept saying the lump was something we could look at later and wasn't an immediate threat. Well, it turned out that the lump was cancer which had started in my tonsil and spread to my lymph node in my neck. Now I've had surgery to remove the cyst and the tonsil then starting tomorrow will undergo radiation and chemotherapy.
Please don't wait. It could be nothing, but better to be sure than to be too late. Make that appointment with your doctor!

I agree with SisterN.
My mother-in-law was diagnosed with slow-growing Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Looking back, she believes the first sign was a lump on her neck, behind the earlobe.
Your lump could be nothing, but its worth checking out.
Good Luck to you
