Hi all, yesterday, I was put to sleep and had 2 bottom molars extracted. Both teeth were infected. I had been on antibiotic since Feb 16. Today I am in alot of pain, I was stiched up.and sent home with pain medsa and more antibioics.Anyway how do you know if you have a dry socket? The very back extraction looks as if the stitches are now broke lose and I have a deep hole with pus, only in the back extraction spot.. Foul taste and jaw pain. Any ideas? When will pain subside and inform me on dry socket please. If you have any questions for me feel free to ask. I know my post may not make sense because of my not feeling well thanks so uch

Dry socket occurs when the clot falls out and the bone is exposed. It can be much more painful than otherwise.
See the oral surgeon if you are concerned or have what may be a dry socket or other complication (pus in the hole is not a good sign).
