Is there still a effective RYR that I can buy at Health Food or Drug Store ?
I have been reading that one key ingredient has been taken out.

Red yeast rice contains a compound that is the same as lovastatin. Since in another thread, you expressed concern about taking statins, you may want to be careful about using red yeast rice for the same reason.

right, but do you have a answer to the question ?
I looked on the ingredient list for some RRY and saw they are missing
Monacolin K , was this taken out or is it still in there ?
And you don't know the reason why I want to delay or perhaps avoid the statins.
thank you

There is an earlier thread titled "Red Rice Yeast - Does it still work?" where some people are discussing a similar topic (about the content of lovastatin / monacolin-K). You may want to ask there.
