I had foot surgery 5 weeks ago. I had ligaments repaired, pin in my second toe, and bone repaired in my little toe. I think recovery is going well--walking well in stocking feet. However, still pretty swollen and need suggestions on what kind of shoe to wear to go to work or store, etc.

Thank You!

check on line at Easy Spirit, they have shoes for mostly every kind of foot problem. I have plantar fascilis and found some shoes just for that condition

I lived in crocs for six months after my foot surgeries but my OS hates them. Said they grab on floor and will throw you. I was just real careful as they were the only things that felt good as they allowed for swelling and put no pressure on my heel, which was an issue for me.

Thank you for the replies. A friend of mine also mentioned Crocs.

The problem with sneakers is that they put pressure on the top of my foot where there is the incision and the little toe where they also cut.

Thank you again for the replies:)

for some reason I couldn't wear sneakers for a while, even though I had no incision on the top. I think it was because the sides hit my ankle bone and I had that lateral incision which drove me nuts. In fact, to this day sneakers are my least comfortable shoe to wear. The most comfortable for me is a good quality clog with a good arch in it but an open back.
