Hi all. Im Michelle from the UK and I have just joined the healthboards.com. I want to write about how I feel and see if anyone has any advice for my future. I'm 24 years old, 16 stone, I havent had a period in over a year. I started my periods when I was 12 years old but by 14 they had stopped. I never told my mum until I was 16 years old. I have always been hairy (arms, legs, tummy) and my mum tried to say this was normal. My eyebrows started to join by the time I was 14 so I had to learn to pluck them. From 16 years old ages I started to get really bad facial hair on my upper lip, chin and neck. This has got worse over the past 8 years. About 3-4 years ago, I went to my doctor who wasnt very supportive, and I had a ultrasound done and nothing! and no explanation of what is happening to me.

My current situation is I'm plucking on a daily basis, struggling with my weight and feeling happy with my size, and worring about the future. Will I be able to have children!! I have the most wonderful partner who supports me but he just can't help me.

Can anyone give me some help and advice.
