My Dad has neuropathy in his feet and legs and is in intense, chronic pain. He is on Neurontin not only for the pain, but also because he is bipolar. For those of you who suffer, do you have any tips to ease the pain? And if you are on medication, what is working for you??

My mother-in-law also has peripheral neuropathy and she finds that a heat pad on the sore areas (her feet and lower legs get the worst of it) tends to relieve the symptoms a little bit.
