I had a double bunionectomy with hammer toe surgery on both feet in jan 2008 all went well with surgery and recovery BUT now i notice that my second toe is dropping - after the surgery I was shocked to see that both of my second toes had pins in them and the surgeon had pinned them in a downward position - i remember asking him if they would ever come back up normally - well they did - but now the one on myright foot is slowly droopingdown. Maybe I should just leave it alone - I dont want surgery again even though I had a good experience with it - I just dread the time of immobility - I am able to walk etc.with no problems but wondered what others thought - or if anyone had this happen and if so what did you have to do.

if you are not in pain, say no to surgery. my hammertoe surgery made my toe stick up! i would rather have it down so shoes can be worn without pain.
