Has anyone heard of liver problems that are associated with mono?
I'm a thin girl- I'm 5'6" and I weigh 115. I had mono last month, and I just had a relapse. I've been told that I should have my liver checked because these relapses can be harsh on the liver, especially if you don't have the best eating habits.
Anyone have any answers???

Hi Jennifer
I had mono induced hepititus two years ago.Liver function tests never went back to normal and I'm now in the middle of all kinds of tests to figure out why I have symtoms of FMS/CFS/MS. It seems the mono virus triggered some malady. It's hard to pinpoint because so many conditions mimic each other.
Good Luck.

Im in the same situation too. I got mono two years ago and I continue to have liver damage in the form of elevated AST ALT@TTT etc... and I still feel sick and my symptoms mimick CFS. Also my triglyceride reading have gone out the roof for unexplained reasons. no one knows whats going on.
