Carlotte, thank you for your lovely message.
I have been reading so much lately regarding the stem cell promise tat I hope we are not getting carried away. It seems that this prodedure of injecting any kind of cells into the brain is only indicated for early stage PD. A friend who is 60 and has young onset (25) years begged his neurologist for consideration of the operation. Answer:NO.
Has anyone found some new miracle? I am all ears.

Hello,
my mum suffered from this disease, she had a lot of symptoms, shivering and so on.
We came to know people who do spiritual healing, they helped my mum so that she really feels fine now and she doesn't show any symptom any more.
You can ask these people, I can give the mail-adress to you if you want.
Kind regards

Glama,
How are you doing?
(I have been unable to access the board for a few weeks because my computer crashed. For a while, I can only get online using my husband's laptop when he brings it home from work) till mine is fixed.
I am also interested in any news regarding help from stem cell research.
There have been a couple of specials on Public Television about DBS, and they were good. In our community, we have found more people who have PD, and two people who have had DBS and they are doing real well. One person had the implant for 5 years, had wonderful results, and then because of scar tissue growing around the implant he had to have it redone. He went to Emory & the same team treated him the second time and he's back home now doing great, with a new implant, working every day and keeping a full schedule of appointments.
He's 64 and had PD for about 10 years.
