None, unless you've had multiple concussions.

What are the long-term affects of concussion

Depends on the severity of the trauma and location in the brain. Any neurological changes should be brought to the attention of a neurologist....The brain is quite resilient, though.

I will agree with what Seymour93 has said about severity and location...and ALWAYS if concussion is suspected see a doctor...pronto!!

With that is mind I will try to briefly answer your question with my own experience...not really mine but my son's...

A bit over 1 yr ago my son fell (tripped in a broken water meter box on the sidewalk) and went head first into the road. He hit the back of his head causing seizure, vomiting, unconsciousness, disorientation, loss of bladder & bowels, and several staples to close the wound in his scalp. His concussion was the most severe (grade 4 I think)...after the injury he has had severe migraines, some memory loss, on 1 occasion has lost consciousness, some unsteadiness (depending on situation) on his feet, and a bald spot where his head hit. He has seen a neurologist and has been referred to a vocational type neurologist for further testing.

By no means am I trying to frighten you, but a concussion can be a serious injury with long term affects. The less severe the better chances of a quicker recovery without lasting neurological problems.

So to reiterate what myself and Seymour93 have said, if a concussion is suspected see a doctor right away...the brain/head is nothing to mess around with....my philosophy is better safe than sorry.

Good Luck to you!!
