OW. My foot is really hurting. I am 3 month post lapidus bunion surgery on my right foot. I started exercising again and am taking it slow. No jumping only short distant running.
Monday I took a 2.5 mile walk at an easy pace and before the walk was done, I had pain in the inner part of my ankle. This foot "pops" all the time when walking and going upstairs. (Could the popping and pain be related?)
I know that I didn't fall, injure or twist the foot. This makes no sense to me. Any suggestions? Thoughts? Ideas? or just some sympathy?

I think you may have overdid yourself. Three months out is still very early. I had the lapidus on my right foot which took about a year to feel back to normal. I am currently post-op 5 weeks lapidus surgery on my left foot. I know you want to get back to doing the things you used to do but try to take it easy. Don't worry too much about running, try just walking. Your foot is still adjusting. Four months out from my right foot surgery, my doctor was still telling me I should still be icing. I couldn't believe it, but the icing did help, three times a day, so you might try that. Good luck.
