Hi,
I am thinking about having the Novasure procedure. My Dr. does not do them in her office. I would have to go to the surgury center. It will be an extra 1500.00 out of my pocket. I thought about finding another Dr. that will do it in the office to save $. Is it safer to go to a surgury center vs. in Dr. office.

I briefly searched the internet and read many times that women end up with long heavy periods (9-14 days) and discharge for a long time after. Also some were told if the Novasure did not work they would need a hystorectomy.
The percentage of failures were rather high in my opinion.
Ask your doctor what the post surgery symptoms will be. Many women were not told what to expect.
If you have endometreosis, it usually is on the outside of the uterus and on internal organs as well.
Make sure you research this from all angles.

I had this done in my doctor's office on 3/20/09. The question is, do you wanna go to a dr that you don't know to have it done or pay the extra $1500. The procedure itself has been positive for me so far. My doctor did tell me what to expect afterward...cramping, light bleeding. Cramping the evening of the procedure was painful. Two darvocets did not take away the pain, but did make it more bearable and let me rest. I am 6 days out and am happy so far. I feel like myself, just a little tired which I am going to discuss with my dr tomorrow at my followup. Will keep you posted if I have a period or not. So far, so good. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
