Hey guys
i get needles on my back points every year before the allergy season and it helps. However, this time 2 days after the first session, I got a bad cold and sore throat which lasted for 4-5 days. I can't say it's flu because there wasn't any body pain. I think there may have been a previous instance where I got a bad reaction a day after acupuncture's 1st session. I do intend to continue the treatment to protect me from the allergies this season. Last year it worked well and I didn't need any anti-histamines, etc
My question is: Does acupuncture have a bad reaction sometimes right after the start of treatment or was this just coincidental and may have been something I caught off the air?
Thank you

I dont' know that i would call it a reaction.. but when ever i have acupuncture, i drain.. One week that i was in miserable pain thinking my sinus infection was back, it drained and then i just ended up with the cold going around the office.
I think you had it in your system and the acupuncture helped it come out. I'm still learning about how it helps me...
