Hello,
I go in April 6th to have debridment of an osteochondoral injury and peroneal tendon debridment and repair. Is there anyone else who has had the same procedures done at the same time?
Does anyone have some helpful hints? I have been told I will be NWB for at least 6 weeks. My job requires me to travel (mostly driving) since it is my right foot I know I'm down for at least those 6 weeks but never really got an estimated time after that as to when I might be able to begin driving again. Would to be reasonable to believe that I could return to the "desk" part of my job about 2 weeks post-op.
Any information would be very helpful.
Thanks, Angela

I have had both done and then some. If you can keep your foot propped up at 2 weeks at your desk you'll probably be okay. At 2 weeks though it still kills to keep your foot down.
As for driving, by 6 weeks it will feel better to keep down, but mine was my left ankle so I don't know about driving with it. That could be rough.

Thanks for your help. I know each person heals differently but with my job I just need to be able to give some approximate date of when I might be able to start traveling again.
