my daughter is only 12 days old her umbilicord is still attached and she woke up today with a small amout of blood dried around it..is this normal?

Yes it is normal as long as it doesn't look infected. It probably got caught on her clothes or diaper and pulled on it a little causing it to bleed.

Yup! Very normal. If it begins bleeding a lot, if you notice any puss, smells bad, or the area around the belly button starts getting red, you should get it checked out. It usually bleeds a small amount as it comes off, it shouldn't be long now!
