I recently bought the Fisher Price Space Saver high chair for my 8 month old. He hates it. And it's making meals a real challenge. Has anyone else had this problem? Was it resolved? I am nearing my breaking point. Help!!

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice, but do you think it is that particular high chair? The reason I am asking is that is the high chair I plan on buying for my 5 month old twins. Just curious if you think it isn't a good purchase!!
Good luck!
Good luck!

are you feeding him alone in the highchair, I mean like before or after the rest of the family eat?
MY 13 month old goes nuts if I put her in the highchair unless we are all at the table, so unless we are all eating together I have to follow her around with her food spooning it in when I can!!
I also gave up on the tray and just pull it up to the table like us, it leave a hideous mess but at least she eats...
Did you try tying some toys to the highchair I've heard of some babies liking that...

I have the FP Spacesaver highchair and love it. So I don't think it has anything to do with the chair. Like the other poster said, maybe the LO doesn't like being there alone. My kitchen is not that large and I did not want to put a highchair in the room too. I love the spacesaver and my one year old has been sitting in it since she was 4 months old. I haven't used it as a booster seat yet, though I know it can be converted later. Good luck, I don't have any advice, but I don't think it's the chair.

His eating schedule is nothing like ours, so he has never eaten with us at home (he's snacked on crackers and puffs in restaurants in their high chairs). It was a little better today when I removed the tray. He seems to be uncomfortable in it, like he's constricted in some way. I have no experience with high chairs so I don't know if it's the chair or my baby! Eating used to be such a pleasure...ah, the joys of motherhood!
