I have been on 40mg of Celexa for almost 4 months for anxiety. I have noticed that I am extremely tired and exhausted..all the time. I find I have no energy at all, from the minute I wake up to the minute I go to bed. Could this be a side effect or something unrelated?

Hi
I have been on Celexa for almost 7 years...
I tried to get off 3 months ago...and the anxiety came back about a week ago.
I'm currently on day 7 of my meds and slowly starting to feel better.
The tiredness should subside eventually...it is a side effect.

I'm by no means experienced... but I did start Celexa today. I found a few hours after my first dose I was extremely fatigued..... I am normally very fatigued, but this is the worst I have ever felt. I heard that it's 'normal' when starting out, but if I were in your shoes I would talk to the Dr because after 4 months I would think that your body has had adequate time to adjust. I am expecting Celexa to help me feel better and give me more energy, not make me more tired

Even just being on 10mg of Lexapro made me incredibly tired. I think it is just a side affect that some people experience with anxiety/depression medications.
