I've gotten to the point where I can't sleep more than 3 hours straight unless I take sleeping pills. My back problems don't allow me to find a comfortable positon. What long terms effects am I looking at if I keep taking these pills? Thank you

What kind are you taking? I think Lunesta is approved for long term use, but ambien is not.

I'm taking ambien at the moment. I use to take Lunesta, but I'm having trouble getting a doctor to see me.

I've been taking Ambien for over a month now and tried last night to sleep without it and NO WAY..I've never had a sleeping issues before the bout of Anxiety I got in January and ever since then I cant sleep without medication. It REALLY bothers me. I dont want to have to take them forever. I also feel like my heart is going to pound out of my chest especially at night. I am on 10mg propranolol for that and still no relief at bedtime (only take 1 a day at 2pm). I dunno if I should be taking ambien so long.

I can't sleep without them as well. I feel like a criminal trying to score on the streets. I won't be able to get my prescription for a couple of weeks. My back just keeps getting worse and worse and I can't find a comfortable position. To top it off I have sleep apnea and can't wear my cpap. So I'm pretty much a zombie if I don't take the ambien.
