inflammation can come from many possible sources, so it will take further, much more in depth testing done on him to really pinpoint the reason for it. does this man drink alcohol at all? if so, how much on average does he consume and for how long has he been doing it? if this is non alcohol related, it can be other things too. like i mentioned, he just needs some deeper testing to actually find the reason for this to even be occuring.
once the docs can find that cause, that alone would dictate just what this is, and how it can be treated, but he HAS to get more testing done. this is not one of those things that will hopefully go away on its own. some inflammation does go away, but it usually needs some types of medication and the testing done in order to even begin to get there. i do hope this is nothing overly serious, but make certain he does follow up with his doc and does what he is told or things will not get any better for him in all likelyhood. i wish you both luck with this. please keep me posted. marcia
