I couldn't decide what picture(face or whatever) to put so I but kind of a nuteral one. I might just go on and on with this, but oh well, it's my time and my post so I guess it's okay-if I annoy you I'm sorry, but I just need to vent. Okay.
It's so hard being 20 years old and dealing with restrictions because of lung problems-the worst is knowing I brought this on myself-I had what is called ARDS(adult/acute resptiory distress syndrome) and got this from taking an overdose and when my stomach was being pumped a tube wasn't but down my throat and I apsprated and a staph infection along with the chorcal went into my lungs-I'm lucky-I don't remember any of this-that night I was flown to another hosptial and was but into a drug induce coma and paralzed-I woke up a little over 6 weeks later on life support-I had 9 chest tubes in all(beat that one people-lol-the say it's the most they seened and also may I say I had 6 or 7 in at one time and I'm only 5'1 3/4. I'm not proud of this but I am trying despratly to get ARDS better known for one main reason. LIsten up people-ARDS is caused by m any different things and the surivial rate isn't all that great-You can get it from a shock to the body, blow to the chest, sinus affection, pneoumina, flu-right now a little 3 year old is fighting for her life because of a car acciednt and she got ARDS along with a head injury-a 9 year old little boy lost his life to ARDS last Christmas after a bone marrow transplant for cancer(and the transplant went well, something after went wrong). I am a lucky one. I dont' know o2 like a lot of people. I am one of the 150,000 people in the US that got ARDS last year and I was one of the 50% that survived-God Blessed me and I am now hear to get the word out. I started the letter to get people's attention-do I have yours? Please tell just one person about ARDS and that's one more person that knows-you did a good deed-I am pround and so in God.
Thank you for listening.
For more infomration please ask and I will get back to you or my e-mail is cutensassybrat@yahoo.com
God Bless each and everyone of you.
