Hi everyone.
About 6 months ago, i was in the hospital with chest pains. they were like sharp stabbing pains right above my left breast and around my back. In the hospital i had an EKG done and a chest and lung x-ray ..everything turned out ok. I was prescribed motrin for the pain. since then i have not had any pains until now. it just started again about a day ago, same symptome same places. people are telling me its a muscle spasm which it does feel like sometimes. its not a constant pain..on and off. and it aches around my back. has anyone else had this. please get in contact with me
thanks so much

Been there, had that, tried everything. There are certain things that help. Many people have these muscle spasms. It is often related to the stress in their lives. So, one thing you can do is reduce the amount of stress in your life. Change you environment. Get some regular excersize. See a shrink and talk it out. If things are really bad, they can give you medicine to help.

Heating pads are helpful but may not be practical during the day. You can get a heat retention pad that is apply over the affected area and keeps it warm all day. It's nice because it doesn't smell.

One other thing I have done is get a large, self adhering Ace bandage. I have someone help me firmly wrap it completely around my chest and back. Then. I put my shirt on over it. It helps reduce movement in the chest and back and that helps.
