I'm a 24 year old male. Well, I guess I will start around a month ago, when I noticed that my breathing (inhaling) was more difficult than normal. It seemed as if my lungs would not expand as easily when I inhaled , so I had to inhale harder. At that time, I was taking a beta blocker so I thought it was a side effect of the med, so I quit taking it, and the breathing prob stopped. Now, about a month later, a similar breating prob has surfaced. It is not as bad as before, but it is still irritating. When I inhale it feels like my lungs won't expand as they should, making my chest feel heavy and my lungs feel tight(won't expand). It is not as bad when I first get up and gets worse as the day goes on and at night it seems like it all but goes away. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Is it the sign of something serious? Or, is it something like hot weather/humidity and/or allergies that could cause it. It puzzles me as to why it went away for a month then game back. I've never had lung probs and these are my only symptoms. Anyway, thanks for any input.

IMHO it sounds like you might have Asthma to me. These are a lot of the same symptoms that I had when I was diagnosed. Check out the Asthma board for some more information...
