I am 47 years old quit smoking four years ago. I was diagnosed with emphysema three years ago.Anyhow I have NEVER had a cough. I mentioned this to my doctor and she said you don't have that kind of emphysema. What kinds are there. I can't seem to get her to open up to me. I'm seriously thinking about getting another doctor. All I know is there's an inherited emphysema and the one you get from smoking. Can anyone shed some light on this matter.

I think it's time to find a new doctor-it's your health and you deserve to know the answers.
