Last week I went to the doctor with these syptoms:
Heartburn, shortness of breath, coughing.
He said it sounded like Reflux and put me on 800mg of Tagamet 2 times a day! I was taking 75mg Zantac (over the counter) before. My question is how long does it take for this medication to help? I still have shortness of breath, coughing (especially at night), and still the ocasional heartburn! Has anyone had these symptoms? The breathing and coughing seem to me like asthma, but he listened to my lungs and said they sounded OK!
I am going back in a couple weeks for a complete physical but am wondering if I should see him earlier or just wait and see if the symptoms get better?
