Some time ago i made a Thread about how ZMA kept me awake. I was afraid to try it again, but recently i've been experimenting just with magnesium at night. It made it very difficult to sleep: I just stay awake for hours... I think magnesium may be too energizing (at least for me). So I decided to take it at mornings before breakfast and i have no trouble sleeping.
Now i have to decide when to take the Zinc and B6...
PS: The magnesium is chelated, from Solaray.
UPDATE: Last night i decided to try only Zinc+B6 without magnesium. Guess what? I stayed 2 hours awake in bed just trying to sleep! :o
Final Conclusion: I don't know why, but BOTH Zinc and Magnesium make me stay awake for 1-3 hours.
Maybe it's because they both are detrimental to Calcium absorption. Who knows, maybe after all im low in calcium...
Either way, i'll take magnesium and zinc at mornings and calcium during the day.

I agree about the magnesium. As long as I take it by noon or 1 I'm fine but if I take it too late in the evening...forget about getting a good nights sleep! The reason for this is because magnesium converts blood sugar into energy!!! Who would have known that vitamins and minerals can keep you up all night!

Do you know if its ok to take the magnesium with milk at breakfast? Or would be better standalone¿

I think it is best to take it alone. Calcium and magnesium fight with eachother to be absorbed and the calcium usually wins. So I would take the magnesium alone.
