Hi, my partner received some bad news about 4 months ago. Since then he has been a jekyll and hyde character. One minute the fantastic man I love and the next unreasonable, argumentative and quite nasty. I have done everything in my power to help him through his ongoing problems, that are out of his control in the main part, I am supportive, loving and I have let him getaway with his behaviour until now. About 4 weeks ago he seemed a lot better and our relationship was back to fantastic, then suddenly on his birthday earlier this week he changed again.

He has accused me of something that has no foundation or truth and won't see reason over it, nothing I say can persuade him he is wrong and he is very nasty, he has made it up in his head and convinced himself its true. There are people who have done wrong by him and he doesn't show them this anger, it is all vented at me and sometimes his parents. It seems to be self esteem issues, which are unfounded to me as he is the most fantastic man there is. I have health issues of my own that govern my time and my abilities but I want to help him, I just don't know how to do it. We aren't children we are in our 40's and unless these 'blacknesses' come over him we are happy and in love.
