I go in for my follow up on my under rib pain---either liver problems, duct problems or who knows---

I just know I have felt like crap for weeks now with this pain, and feel I am 9 months pregnant with the swelling I am having and putting on a lb a day feels like it. Nothing fits

things I have look up on internet do not sound to promising---(internet is great to get information--but then it also scares the heck out of you too---not to mention Dr's hate it when we do our on research.) :dizzy:

Well I don't know weather to be happy or mad or what

went to my primary Dr today for the follow-up on the test she did, and she also had test results the Gastro Dr ordered. (this is the pain under my right rib cage)

Everything is ok---except I have a fatty infiltrated enlarged liver, She says the fatty part is pretty much normal

and was not too concerned about the enlarged part, said maybe repeat the test again in 6 months. However when she realized I am in such agony she made an appt to follow back up with the Gastro Dr--I see him Wed.

I have felt good other than feeling like I have gained 10 lbs none of my clothes fit my abdomen feels huge---she did even exam me:mad::mad:

Anyway today before appt, I am now in the process of cleaning out kitchen cabinets. so I have stuff all over the kitchen and still have one cabinet to go (well the cabinets I am going to do. and I am so sore--the fibro has reared it's ugly head, I can barely touch my skin I hurt so---I hope I feel better tomorrow.

:(:(All of this is really getting me down---I have soooo much that needs to be done, I want so badly to start sewing/quilting again, and can't until I clear out and sort my studio. But it is a major job, and if just doing the kitchen has done this.

will let you know what I find out wed.

Do you feel bloated? That could be caused by many things.

Maybe consider a second opinion, go to a naturopath, try acupuncture, or an elimination diet.

Hang in there.

Hello Sorry the docs visit didn't help much , don't you just love when they do not even touch you  I hope that the gastro can give some more insight to this . I write down my questions as I think of them cause when I go into the office I always fog up and forget. Be assertive grr doctors

applecollector-

Are you still having pain?

Since the weekend I have been having pain under my right rib that feels different than the costo that I get with fibro.

A few years ago I had stabbing pain in the same area and the ultrasound didn't show anything.

This is pretty consistent discomfort since the weekend. It might feel worse after eating.

yes still having pain, I don't see the gastro dr until 30th

it is in the gall bladder area, but my gall bladder has been removed.

I had a very sharp pain there last night before bed,

now I am up with a UTI---I had 2 AZO's left so now I am doing the fluids to try and get this PAIN eased up:mad:

if it is not one thing it is 10 of something else

since so many have rib pain---and I have the rib pain also, but this is under the rib---but all MRI showed was enlarged liver, I guess that could put pressure on rib cage:dizzy:
