Hi,
Let me first say I am not asking for a diagnosis, just if someone has either had or knows someone with my symptoms.
I was hospitalized in January for 5 days for pneumonia and partial collapsed left lung,The pneumonia was cured but not the shortness of breath, pain in left side of chest,on side and upper left side of back, wheezing at times and just very weak.
I did smoke for 28 years,I started at age 10,I quit in January,
I had a thalium stress test on heart it came back ok,CT scan and ex-rays both show a small lung mass since January, and is still there,I was schedualed for an open biopsy of the left lung on May 2nd but Dr.s postponed it because I have pneumonia again.
I have been on bookoo antibiotics, prednisone off and on and am on 3 enhalers and another antibiotic now.
Has anybody ever had these symptoms???Could it be Lung Cancer??I would really like to know if it is something I need to prepare for in the future,
I would apreciate any feedback on this.
Thanks,ROSE

Hi Rose, I'm sorry to hear about your problem...I too have some symtoms like you..I feel flat on my front side on the concrete 4 months ago and at first I had EXTREME pain 3 days later (like cramps) in my right side rib cage.Lasted on and off for about two weeks.
Now it is a little better, when I wake up I usually feel pretty good, maybe some tightness in there. Now when I go to bed and sleep I wake up usually in 2 or 3 hours with small cramp like feeling in there and when I turn over in bed and I take deep breaths it feel like cramps, burning and tearing..It moves a little (the pain) lower rib, upper rib) and around. Its not as bad as it was in the beginning, but like you, it's uncomforable..It feels like there is a sharp pain in my back just under my wing bone...At least you know you are not alone...Bless you! Holle

Thank you Holle for your response.
My symptoms started after a bout with pneumonia and have never subsided,do you or any one else know of this happening? and what it could be?
thanks to all, ROSE
