Hi. For the last 6-8 months I have been getting what I consider a migraine almost every day. It would start around my period last for 3-4 days, I would have to take Maxalt, and that would be it until my next cycle. Then they started coming every other day, almost every 48 hrs to the minute. I would take the Maxalt and it would go away and come back the next 48 hrs, almost like the Maxalt was on some sort of time clock and once it was completely out of my system, the migraine would recur forcing me to take the medicine again. If I don't take the meds I can't function at work so I take it and the migraine goes away in minutes.
Is the Maxalt causing some sort of physical addictive reaction with this? I'm a groomer and know that my work is related and am seeing a chiropractor to deal with the neck and back pain that it seems to emanate from but I'm wondering if the Maxalt is doing something else behind the scenes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I take Relpax for my migraines. My neurologist told me not to take more than 2 in a week. I think this is because more frequent usage can cause rebound headaches. Perhaps the same thing happens with Maxalt?
Are you taking any sort of preventative medication? If not, it might be something to look into if you are having migraines so frequently.
